When the weather heats up and summer rolls around, there is a lot to celebrate! You might be headed to a 4th of July party, Memorial Day BBQ, graduation party, bridal shower, birthday party, or another summer bash. You want to look pretty right? The only downside to having a great hairstyle in the summer is that heat and humidity can easily mess up your gorgeous style.
No matter what the weather is like, there are some easy hairstyles you can try to look your best for a summer party. Here are some of our favorites:
If the humidity is out of control, braids, ponytails, or buns are your best bet! These styles will keep your hair contained and still look really cute. Try a high or low ponytail. Before you secure your ponytail, leave out a section of hair. After you have secured your ponytail, wrap that section of hair around so it hides the elastic. Then add a scarf or cute bobby pins to amp up your look.
A fun ponytail look is the bubble ponytail. Put your hair into a ponytail and then section off parts of it and then pull it out to create a look of bubbles going down your back.
If you really need to pull your hair back and don’t have time to create a time-consuming look, go for a bun. You can either do a high ballerina bun and secure it with bobby pins or create a messy bun that you can throw together and go. To make your messy bun look a little more put together, put a flower in your hair. It will be the perfect summer accessory.
If the occasion is perfect for a flower crown, create a crown with your hair first by braiding or twisting your hair around your head. Add in flowers or wear a flower crown on top. This would be great if you are the guest of honor at a summer party.
Braids are also perfect for keeping your hair under control, especially if you plan on swimming at this party. There are so many different ways to wear braids. Check out YouTube and test different styles. You can try a fishtail braid, crown braid, French braid, or rope braid. You can also braid your hair into one braid or two to change up your look.
If you prefer to leave your hair down, try beachy waves for a great summer look. When your hair is damp, spray in some sea salt spray and let your hair dry. If the waves don’t turn out perfect, use your curling iron to fix them up a bit.
