Our hope is answering these questions will inspire and help you on to healthier, stronger, fuller hair.
- How long before will I see results?
A- The first thing you will notice is your hair will feel silkier and shinier as you start using the right formula of Keranique Shampoo & Conditioner that is best for you. Hair Growth takes time, and it requires patience. Continued use of the Regrowth Treatment with 2% Minoxidil for at least 3 to 4 months is usually needed before you start to notice growth. But you may incorporate other products in the Keranique System that start working immediately to help repair and prevent future hair damage like the Lift and Repair Treatment.
2. I am concerned to start the Regrowth Treatment because I have heard about shedding.
A- With Minoxidil use, during the first 2 months, after beginning the treatment, you may lose or shed a little more hair than usual. It’s important to know that it is part of the process. It is also very temporary, and it indicates that the follicles are making way for new hair growth. So, if you do experience this…just breathe. Don’t forget you need to keep using the Hair Regrowth Treatment every day, twice a day. Lastly, everyone is different; some users notice results as soon as 2 months, but for some it can take up to 6 months to notice the best results.
3. I’ve seen hair growth; do I need to continue using the Regrowth Treatment?
A- Continued use of the Keranique System is needed to maintain your new hair growth. Without consistent application of the Keranique Regrowth Treatment for Women, over a 3 or 4 month period of not keeping your follicles stimulated, you will revert back and lose any new hair growth. It is important to be consistent even after your hair grows back.
4. How is women’s hair loss different than men’s hair loss?
A- Women don’t lose hair the same way as men. Men experience predictable male pattern baldness (which is in one area); when hair thins for women, it generally thins in a diffuse pattern all over the head. This makes determining loss more difficult and as a result, treatment is often delayed. By the time it is noticeable, up to 50% of hair may already be lost.
5. How common is hair thinning or loss for women and what are the causes?
A- First, hair loss or thinning is extremely common and more prevalent than you may think. In fact 1 in 3 adult women in the U.S. experience hair thinning or loss. And once a woman reaches the age of 50, she 50% more likely to experience this issue. There are a host of factors that cause hair loss. The #1 reason for hair loss in both women and men, is heredity or genetics. But for women, hormonal changes, stress, changes in diet or lack of nutrients, over- styling with hot tools, extensions & weaves, inflammation and aging are all factors that can trigger hair loss and make it worse. So as soon as you begin to notice hair loss, it’s most likely time for you to start a treatment.
