Have you ever wondered how to get natural curls without using a curling iron? There are actually a lot of different techniques to try! Hot tools like curling irons and straighteners are great, but if you use them a lot you can damage your hair. Damage from heating tools can make your hair dull, dry, and full of split ends.

If your hair is naturally curly or wavy, try this method while drying your hair after a shower. When you get out of the shower, take your towel and press and twist it throughout your hair instead of rubbing it. You can also use an old, soft t-shirt. This will give you a more natural curl without the frizz. A light curl crème or salt spray can also help give you the look you desire while your hair is damp. You may also want to skip brushing.

If you have to blow dry your hair, use a diffuser. Bounce your hair up and down as you dry it with the diffuser attachment on a low setting. This will help define your curls and dry your hair quickly.

You can also try the headband method. Put a headband in your hair and then twist your hair and tuck it up in the headband. This works best if your hair is a little damp. After a while, your hair will have a natural curl.

If you prefer a wavy, curly look, all you have to do is braid your hair. This works well with damp hair, but it can work with dry hair too! Just separate your hair into two braids, or more if you want your hair curlier. Aim to sleep in braids and take them out in the morning to get the complete look.

Another method you can implement is to twist your hair into little buns all over your head when your hair is wet. Leave in overnight and when you wake up in the morning, you should have lots of little curls! If your hair looks a little frizzy after sleeping in buns or braids, use an anti-frizz serum to get rid of it.

You can always use Velcro rollers or spoolies to create the look you desire. You simply twist your hair around the circular items and leave it overnight. It does require a bit more effort as you have to do this with many rollers, especially if you have a lot of hair!

Absolutely skip brushing. That produces straighter and fuzzier hair. Just pat your hair a little with a towell after getting out of the shower and let it dry. Comb very lightly to style after hair is dry.
