Do you have long hair or are you growing your hair out to get gorgeous, luscious locks? If so, you need to know how to take care of it properly. Here are some of our favorite tips on washing, drying, and styling long hair:

Before you wash your hair, you’ll need to brush it properly to get rid of any tangles. Brush your hair from the bottom up, brushing the ends first, little by little. This can help you get out any tangles and avoid breakage. Try our Anti-breakage Detangling Comb for easing combing and detangling.

Next, you should wash your hair twice in the shower, using whatever shampoo works best for your specific hair type. Your specific hair type might be related to whether your hair tends to be dry or oily or prone to damage or dandruff. When you wash your hair twice, the first time may get rid of dirt and any buildup in your hair and the second time may cleanse your hair properly. Next, you should condition, focusing on the ends of your hair.

After you cleanse and condition your hair, you’ll want to make sure to dry and style it properly. Brush your hair gently to remove any tangles that may have popped up during your shower. Use a heat protectant if you plan to use a hair dryer or any hot tools to dry and style your hair. You can also apply an anti-frizz serum or mousse for volume and let air dry.

There are so many different hairstyles you can achieve with long hair. First of all, it looks gorgeous down and flowing, whether your hair is straight, wavy or curly. You can also braid it, put it up in a French twist or bun, put it half up and half down, wear different styles of ponytails, etc.

I do already use a big tooth comb wet or dry. I use keratin oil or coconut oil to detangle and strengthen. Also i mostly air dry and wash every other day depending on humidity or sweating. I’ve had chemo 11 years ago from cancer treatments and want to take good care of what hair i have.
